1080p downloads on my iTunes

I am downloading films and tv series off iTunes and it's giving me 1080p which is good but my ipad2 won't play them is there an. App which will compress them or convert on the fly. Air video wont and av player won't. Any options apart from trying to redownload in 720p

The iPad 2 and Iphone 4s don't support 1080p content

I would contact itunes and say you have messed up and they will no dout let you re download in 720p

Fine I had 1080p stored on hardrive and on the iPad 2 I can download 720p and just delete it when I've finished I just have to remember to keep 4 gb free at all times to allow room.

Daft question smuggs, but why are you downloading at 1080p? If you go into your iTunes preferences, then Store, you can select 720p or 1080p when downloading HD videos. Given that you've got an iPad2, I'd change the setting to 720p and leave it at that.
