Task app that will Show on Windows

Hi I am after a task app, whereby when I added a task I could somehow see it in Windows.

I have tried remember the milk but didn't get on with it, I quite like out of milk but cannot find out how to sync it.

Is there a simple way of getting google calendar to show on a windows 7 desktop? I have been using Thunderbird with lightening and google provider but it more complex than I need really.

I am currently using Gtasks for android though I have not bought the full version as of yet.Again I cannot get this to sync. I just want to be able to see my tasks when on my Windows laptop and as I cross them off this then does the same on my android phone.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
