HTC acknowledge One X screen flicker and corruption faults. Working on a solution.
Good news.
According to a source on xda-developers HTC have finally acknowledged the One X screen flicker and corruption faults. Robert Collins, the Customer Experience Manager for HTC Europe, has confirmed they are aware of the faults and are looking at resolutions.
He has however stopped short of confirming if these are hardware or software faults, and also whether phones over 28 days old will be replaced rather than have to be sent off for repair.
Apparently more information will be released next week.
I hope this is not against house rules, but please check here for more information.

I will keep an eye on proceedings and update this thread as and when information becomes available.
It looks like they were threatened with legal action, which just goes to show how hard you need to push HTC for a response. Let us hope this is the start of an improved customer service.
Credit due where credits due.
I received a phone call from HTC today to discuss my experiences.
They were very receptive and apologized for miscommunications. It did make me feel a bit better towards them, because at least I know they read the feedback.
Flicker is not yet fixed, though they are working on it.
It's good that they have responded. I'm just happy mine has never missed a beat

Yes, that is very fortunate
I just need to decide whether I buy another one or go else where. It's a great device and I love the screen. I've just lost a bit of faith in HTC. I guess it depends on whether Samsung or Apple can tempt me.
IMO the Iphone is better for reliability, music and photo picture quality (just barely), but the OneX is better at pretty much everything else. I just don't want to have to go through the customer service again. I'll see what the S3 offers tonight and then decide me thinks. I

I'll be interested to see the S3 screen is like. I'm not much of a fan of AMOLED and prefer LCD2, for it's more natural colours and less "in-ya-face" contrast.
Now available on our One X.

Hi Joe,
Are you 100% certain. The last I heard from HTC is that 1.29 will now not resolve the flicker issue and it will be fixed in 1.30.
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry Joe, I just read this in your blog:
"HTC has yet to issue official confirmation of what fixes the update contains."
Great news One X owners.
HTC have confirmed that 1.29.xxx.11 has now resolved the flicker.
Many thanks to the helpful folk at xda.developers.
Yes htc always makes good handset. It can now sort out the flicker problem.

It looks like the screen corruption issue has been fixed in the latest firmware update 1.29. The flicker should have been fixed, but there are still some reports of the issue on the latest 1.29 release.
