Archos 40 Titanium
English

My daughter is trying this phone, which uses Android 4.2.2, and his having difficulty connecting to her Orange/EE 3G network. The sim card is from her old phone, which worked fine, but not with this phone. None of us is particularly savvy, and am hoping that someone can point us in the right direction, please.

Could it be linked to Data Roaming? Does she have to have Data Roaming switched on to use 3G? And if so, will that make her vulnerable to charges from other networks?

Any info on the subject would be welcome.

Thanks, Mark. Yes, that's selected to Orange, but she still can't connect to the internet, other than via home wifi. Will try Orange help.

Hi, Mark, we rang Orange, problem now solved; Apparently, because the phone wasn't bought from Orange, it needed roaming switching on. In our ignorance we thought that this could incur charges, so a large bill, so left it off. But they said it's not the case, in the UK anyway. Happy faces all round.
