Just about to order a Panasonic TH-42PZ70E and a Panasonic DMREX77EBK-MR.  What do I need to connect the two up?  It's a bit of a minefield and some cables are over £100, please could someone advise what would do the job well at a reasonable price?

Re: What scart cable etc for new TV & DVD?

RJS,

I can recommend the following website where I buy all my leads and they are brilliant - cheap prices and fast delivery:

http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic/home.html

The lead I would recommend is the QED HDMI-P which has five red stars from What Hifi? and you can buy for £45 for a 1m length:

Also, here is an optional extra that I would recommend - buying two new power leads, one for your TV and one for your DVD player (Merlin Tarantula IEC [3 PIN] for your TV and Merlin Tarantula Figure 8 [2 Pin] for your DVD player). I have these leads, and I can honestly say I have seen an improvement in both picture and sound quality. You can get them from the link below. Should cost you about £75 for the pair:

Hope this has been helpful - please let me know either way.

Anyone else out there agree / disagree? Please let me know....
