Wall Mounting Options for my flatscreen TV
As a regular reader of the forums I finally decided I'd signup and join the community! So with that part over, I have a question for anyone in the know.
Basically I have a 32" Samsung TV that I would like to wall mount in my lounge and as such have been looking online for a suitable bracket to do the job, however I am thinking of upgrading my TV in the next year to a 40 LCD or 42" Plasma, which again I’ll be intending to wall mount.
The question is, does anyone know of a bracket out there that would be suitable for the job of mounting my current TV, and also the new TV I will be getting without having to get a new bracket, the only brackets I can find for my TV are only suitable for TV's up to 37". All I'm after is a fixed mount, so no tilting brackets; I would like the TV to be as flush to the wall as possible. Also are there any brands I should avoid regarding build quality etc?
I don't want to have to remove the old mount, repair the wall and then re-drill all the holes as I assume that for different mount sizes the holes are going to be in different places in order to support the weight? I'm not overly DIY savvy and will probably get someone to help assist me in mounting the TV in the first place, so paying to have this done twice is not really something I want to do. If the worst comes to the worst I'm quite happy to wait until I get my new TV before mounting, but I'd thought I'd try my luck since I am currently redecorating the lounge and it'd be nice to get it done now.
