USB to Optical/Coaxial Cable needed
I now have a Beresford TC7510 DAC mainly purchased for use with my Squeezebox Receiver however I would also like to use it with my laptop. The only digital outs on my laptop are HDMI and USB (no optical via headphone socket) Can someone recommend a good cable please to connect laptop out (USB) to either optical or coaxial in on the Beresford.
Thanks, Matt
Thanks Dave.
However is there a cable out there which has a usb connection on one end and a coaxial on the other? So I don't need two cables and a converter.
Then you'll need a cable with a built-in converter. I don't know of any, but check with Maplins, they might do something.
Ok thanks.
What if I got a new soundcard for the laptop with an optical out, could you recommend one and are they easy to install?

One question, will a cheap converter do, does this convesrion have an impact on sound? Found this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HA-INFO-NG-COAX-USB-SPDIF-COAX-Converter-/110527754751?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item19bbf7b1ff on the bay which might even be the same as the one you suggested.
