Stand suggestions for Monitor Audio S6s (floorstanders)

"Don't they come with their own stands?",  I hear you say.  Yes, but I bought mine used and without the stands.  The S6s are currently sitting on bare, and slightly wobbly, wooden floorboards (i.e. not laminate) and bass can be a bit boomy.  So, would it be best to buy the original stands (£70 or so from MA), or consider other stands/solutions?  Any ideas appreciated - thanks.

The S6s should have a plinth underneath that leaves a small gap between them and the base of the speaker - without these, I'm not surprised they're sounding a bit boomy. Floor spikes screw into the underside of the plinth, and these can be adjusted to level each speaker on uneven floors.

I'd advise you to buy the plinths from MA if that's what's missing.

The plinths are exactly what's missing, Andy.  Thanks for your advice.
