hi all

post subject is about as near as i can put as to what i want.my wife moans that all she can hear downstairs is boom boom from my speakers which are on my computer desk,is there anything i can put under them to stop them resonating downstairs

You could look at these which you can pick up for around £30.

I would look at them regardless to improve your SQ as they come highly recommended in a number of places, but have you not thought of turning your amp down a bit?!
