Russ Andrews -> "Prim sound" ?

Hi all.. i was reading an old review about the Russ Andrews mains extension block. The verdict contained something like "Nice sound but we would like it to sound less prim.

Now English is not my native language, so i was wonderimg if someone could explain me the word Prim ?

Im looking for a decent extension block to add to my current setup. I already own a Clearer Audio Merlin. I like it, but its too bassy/weighted. Would the Russ Andrews be a better one to plug in my hardware?

The Tacima and Lindy are in my list too, but afaik they dont come with euro/schuko connectors, do they?

Is thete any other block you could recommend that doesnt sound too bassy? I really REALLY like the sound of silver but it would be too expensive, i think.. do such exist, cheap ??

thanks!

...forgot to add.. i mainly use Cyrus equipment and love the talent it can deliver the music with so much rhythm.

My whole system setup can be found here http://www.htforum.nl/~showcase/usersetdetail.php?id=300

(my cat gave birth in a Cyrus 8vs2 box.. pic is at the bottom of the page)

..oh and i cant edit my first post..so uhm.. the current block i own is called Merlin Black Widow.. not Clearer Audio. i own a silver mains cable of  that brand.. i absolutely love it!

Here is someone 'prim':

Here is someone not 'prim':

It means 'reserved', 'strait-laced', 'polite', 'genteel'.

That Maggie Smith, though...eh? Eh?

Willing to bet that if you were blindfolded and somone played your system connected straight to the mains and then through the merlin, you would not know which was which. It is all snake oil!
