Quick one.  I've just put some things in a cupboard and would like to remote control them whilst they're in there.  Is there a little dongle that can sit outside the cupboard and can run a wire into the cupboard and spray IR out the other end?  None of them are Sky, and none of them have an iPhone app.

I'd prefer not to stick sensors on the front of each machine if I can help it...

I'm using the Keene Electronics solution.  They have a kit with IR emitters that can be blu-tacked onto the unit shelves and will cover multiple devices at one time.  It's excellent and very responsive with no lag.

Thanks, I'll take a look (though it looks quite pricey...)

Have a look at the Fisual IR-1000, using one atm, (cheaper than keene's kit) it does come with emitters that stick on, but like VoodoDoctor i just blu-tacked them to the shelves.

I've got this in my system. Yes, they're stuck in front of my units, but they work flawlessly every time.
