I'm a little lost
I am looking at purchasing some van damme studio grade blue speaker cable, there are several different sizes and I have no clue to which size I will need and what will suit my system and which connections to get.
I noticed that on the what hifi best buys there are analogue and digital audio interconnects???.
I just need a little advice on what I need for my system, I have listed below what is about to be installed. I hope someone can help me as I am new to the world of home cinema.
Panasonic TX-P50GT30B
Tannoy HTS 101's
Sony str dh820Series Speaker
Thanks for the advice going to purchase the van damme cable but what AWG do i need?
To run the cable to the rears it will be 7m, will the 2.5mm/14awg be enough or the 4mm/12awg?
I have looked at the manual for my tannoys and it states the nominal impedance is 8 ohms and according to http://www.audioholics.com/education/cables/speaker-cable-gauge
this would give me a run of 35-60ft @ 8 ohms but only 18-30ft @ 4ohms please note I am only copying this stuff here and do not actually know what any of it means.
If some of the true experts could help me out deciding what size cable i need that would be great.

Hi, you're looking for speaker cable so ignore the analogue/digital interconnects - different cables completely. Given your equipment, I'd opt for the budget 'vd' cable.
Hope this helps
