HDMI HELP!

I have read various statements about the influence (or lack of), that a Quality Hdmi cable can have on a system. I am about to add a distribution box to my system, to allow both my DVD and V+ box feed my TV and Projector. This will require 3x 1mt leads and at the chord price ( with dist. box) would add up to the cost of an HD or Blueray player. Even with QED leads it would be over £200, so I am considering Cambridge Audio (£30), Techlink CR, or the cheaper Techlink in this months test. Has anyone a comment, advice or experiance of this situation

as long as it is up to the standard you require eg 1.3 it will do the job as will as any other of the same spec.
Not a HiFi Nut. Just has a pile of Nads.
