NEWS: Epson debuts sub-£500 entertainment centre - and offers free Harmony remote with flagship projector

Epson is launching a new all-in-one home cinema projection solution, designed for family use and those who want large-screen images anywhere there’s space to park a projector. The EMP-DM1 compines a projector, DVD player and sound system in a single enclosure, and sells for a very attractive £449.

And at the other end of its range, the company has an offer on its flagship EMP-TW1000 Full HD 1080p projector - buyers will receive a free Logitech Harmony 1000 remote control, worth £270.

The EMP-DM1 is described as 'an affordable HD Compatible (480p resolution) entertainment centre for instant gaming and big screen movie enjoyment'. It offers the company's 3LCD technology, and has USB, RGB, composite and component inputs, making it quick and easy to connect to computers, memory devices and games systems.

It also packs a disc drive able to handle DVD-Video, DivX ultra, DVD-VR, Video CD, SVCD, Audio-CD, MP3, WMA and JPEG files, and has onboard sound processing, 2x8W amplification and speakers. The whole thing weighs just 3.8kg,and comes complete with a carrying case for maximum portability.

Meanwhile the EMP-TW1000 projector (left), which can be found for as little as £1800, is now available with a free Logitech Harmony 1000 remote handset. The remote has a 3.5in colour touchscreen, can control up to 15 devices, and comes complete with a charging station.
