RE: Chord Epic speaker cable - Should I buy

I have Chord Epic on my Q500s (plus the signature links, which made a big difference), and am very happy with it When I had my CM1s, the soundstage increased, but also more cohesive, once I upgraded from Rumour to Epic.

In terms of the banana plugs, I would just have Chord put on their own terminations.

Chord Epic is a very good cable.  It may be too good for your system.  The Chord Odyssey is half the price and will probably perform very well.  The Odyssey won many awards.

Personally, I would avoid add-on banana plugs.  Better to have them soldered onto the speaker cables by the manufacturer.  Silver is unecessary.  Gold is fine.

I hope this helps.

I trust the original manufacturer.  They recommend what they do for a reason.

I dislike silver as it tarnishes, and if it was of the necesary quality it would cost a lot more.  However, for a few dollars why not try it for yourself?
