Chord Crimson interconnect upgrade

I've ordered this Chord interconnect to replace my old interconnect (Monster Cable Interlink 400 MKII). My system contains of a Marantz SR 4320 receiver, Marantz CD 5400 CD player and a pair of B&W DM 303's. The Monster Cable IC was too much focused on the bass imo. I am hoping that the Chord IC will enable a more balanced sound and will tighten up the bass. Are these realistic expectations?
