Choosing Stands for my Speakers

Good Evening,

 

I have just taken delivery of a pair of Monitor Audio BX2 speakers and now want to buy a new pair of stands to go with them.

As you would expect, my first port of call has been the WHF reviews in the mag and on the website.

The two stands which caught my eye are the Partington ANSA 60's and the Custom Design FS104 Signatures.

 

Now I was wondering what forum members thought of the two stands suggested and if I should consider any others.

Are the Custom Design stands overkill for my speakers?

Would one of the choices be better suited to my speakers than the other?

Oh, and one other thing I was going to ask.

Seen a few comments about using small blobs of blutak between the speaker and the stand. Is this a good idea - any of you use this method or have you gone down the road of using one of the products from the likes of Atacama, although they seem quite pricey!.
