Apple dock to USB cable (black)

Hello, I may be inviting an avalanche of conflicting views (in which case, consider me to have donned my tin hat), but I was wondering if anyone had a view as to whether all iPod doc/usb cables are created equal?
I'm now connecting my iPod to my AVR-3312 using the USB cable, and seeing as the amp is black I thought about getting one of these, from Belkin. Has anyone used this, or are there any better ideas?
