A hundred pound's well spent?
I want to get the best sound i can out of my system, i was thinking of buying a tacima main's conditioner for 40 pound's and buying a chord super screen power cable for my amp, both can be had for 89-90 pound's, for the money it seem's like a good upgrade?
Thank's for the reply, why not plug my amp into the tacima?
I (along with others), have found that it "strangles" the dynamics. If you do a search on here, you will find discussions about this. I'm not a fan of cheaply done conditioning, and even if doing it the dearer way, prefer balanced mains transformers or power regenerators.
It's something that can be tried for yourself.....it's also possible to think it sounds better; live with it for a while; but when you take it out again, realise that the "punch" is now back in the sound.
It's certainly worth a punt at £24.
Right, ill have a read about that, your right though, for 24 pound's its worth a shot.
I have just ordered the tacima cs929 and a Ecosse Big orange mk2, all for 67 pound's, money well spent? will the tacima help the sound of my dac? be interesting to see how it affects my amp...
FWIW, IME a Tacima improved soundsatge but also muffled overall detail. However, a Wilkinsons mains block/surge protector really opened-up sound and improved detail - and cost less than £10

If you go for a Tacima, I would advise not plugging your amp into it. How well it works will depend on the quality of your mains. Its cheaper on Amazon:

I think mains cables are worthwhile, and have found those from Clearer Audio (give Darren a ring) have been the best VFM. eg. Copperline Alpha Plus or Copperline.
