why no mobile Web site or forum?
After all, it is a techy gadget publication. If the UK Skoda owners club can have a mobile forum page that works brilliantly, why can't whf?
I'm replying to this on my iPad...
It's a pain isn't it?
Ideally have to get rid of the smileys to stop slow down, and ideally disable rich text. I've had issues where my iPad has crashed before while replying.
I think the smileys box is stupid. But then I have no say in these matters any more. You have to disable the rich text thing to have it work, but that's a better state of affairs than on the last version, where it was either on or off irrespective of browser. And I think if we they upgraded to the latest version of TinyMCE it would work better on iPad.
I'm just sayin'...
I'm just sayin'...
With you on the smileys – I'd lose them in a heartbeat –, but AFAIK all other development on the site currently on hold due to limited resource and much larger projects going through the Haymarket machine at the moment. Which is frustrating, to say the least.

Especially as I put it on the board in the "it's really important, should be done now" box about 6 months ago... (and they will need it for the "larger projects" that are going through. But then as JD says, I also have no say in these matters anymore...
I've never had any problems with my sony tablet running android 3.2 honeycomb + dolphin hd or the stock browser

This one really slipped through the net didn't it?
Having an iPad, I rarely boot up my laptop nowadays, and replying to people on two other forums I frequent is a doddle. One is available via Tapatalk, and the other has its own iPad/iPhone app, so I can even use them on my phone while out and about. This forum is a real pain in the but, as I have to use Atomic or Safari, which is pretty much impossible on a phone, and marginally easier on the app.
When will WHF have a Pad/Phone friendly app so it's users can get involved more?
