It sounds like the team have a new problem to contend with, besides the non-functioing Avatar (for some, me included!).
thats good to know, thought it was me bein an idiot, glad to know its not just me with this problem, think your right mr wolf, looks like whf have another problem to fix,
What computer / browsers are you using? With me:
Mac: Firefox / Opera posting toolbar works fine. Camino / Safari doesn'tÿ
PC: IE 7 / Firefox toolbar fine.
i'm using a pc, using ie7
andrew, clare or andy, any ideas as to what the problem is, thanks
come on, anybody, somebody must know the answer, finding it almost as irritating as the avatar problem atm![]()

I'll add it to the list (BTW, Avatar problem on course for a Tuesday fix.)ÿ
Gents,
I don't understand the issue. I'll bung a link here to the active topics page.
To do this I used <a href="http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx">here</a> for the link.
Just replace http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx with your url and here
with your display text.
Clare Newsome:I'll add it to the list (BTW, Avatar problem on course for a Tuesday fix.)
thanks clare
daveh75 - do you still have a problem with the links? Perhaps I can provide further help?
PJPro:Gents, I don't understand the issue. I'll bung a link here to the active topics page. To do this I used <a href="http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx" mce_href="http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx">here</a> for the link. Just replace http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx with your url and here with your display text.
pj thats exactly my point where your link just says "here" when i try to do that it displays the entire text
<a href="http://whathifi.co.uk/forums/TopicsActive.aspx">here</a> like this, instead of just saying "here"
hope that makes more sense
Well, the only thing I can think of is that when you do an update the page is html encoding your text. I've had a look through the site options and I can't see anything which you can set to prevent this.
Have a go bunging a link in your signature.
Does an image work?
ok thanks pj will try that
weird! so how comes it doesnt work in my posts, but does in my signature

Same here. At first I thought they'd allow it after a while ( to stop idiots etc) but 500 posts later I can't do it. Tried PJs method and still nada !! Unless of course I'm still an idiot ? (rhetorical ..so don't bother)
