What's happened to the site?
The headlines / what's new were easier to read before. That's what I check in each day for and would love to see tem top and centre again.
What's an MPU?

The "Evil" emoticon is still inactive.....sometimes nothing else quite hits the spot. >)
Odd, it's much MUCH quicker to load now for me, using Chrome, I'd say three times quicker if anything, it's been running like a dog for the last few weeks, that seems to have been completely solved for now.
Its still running like a dog for me. Yip I'm on Chrome. Yip I cleared this that and the other. Still getting logged out while I read a thread.
Loads quicker at times mind,lol.

In advertising terms an MPU is the squarish ad that in the case of whathifi appears in the right hand column of most pages.
What's an MPU?
MPU stands for Multiple Purpose Unit (or sometimes Mid-Page Unit), a square online advert usually found embedded in a web page in a fixed placement.
Oooohhh.
FWIW - like the forum's revised layout and newfound alacrity but not keen on the homepage, which resembles a shopfront/retail stylesheet, not a publication's, and the WHF? logo is too wee
Loading much better now, thank you if it is down to the site.
Do advertisers really think these obtrusive adverts and constantly following adverts are good for their image and sales? The very last thing I am ever going to buy is something that has annoyed me. Perhaps I am not in the right age group where particularly annoying adverts are productive.

Singing from the same hymn sheet here matey. The constant ramming of that sodding snugsam doo dah in my mush just gives me the urge to ram one up the jacksie of the advertising guy who thought that one up.
