What's happened to the site?
shame no ability to PM other memebers and look at other peoples posts!
I mean at the top of this page ^^
Or am I imagining that?
I think you imagined that JD.
I need to take fewer drugs. Or more.
It happened a while ago BenLaw.
Going mad then! I'm after JD with the drugs
Got your avatar back I see JD
Priorities, Mr C.
I *love* the way the MPU follows you down the page btw...
I really like this re-design, a much more modern website, one up to date with other magazine contempories.
I'm glad the people at what hifi managed to convince haymarket to invest into this project, congrats on that front.
I believe the only improvement I could request is being able to see what you've posted through the 'My account' tab, A great way to keep track & control of your movements through the forums.
This functionality would surely see what hifi fighting with other heavyweight sites.
I've found one really odd extra quirk when posting with my iPhone. Sometimes when I post every time I add a character the screen shunts down a little, and ends up running out of screen. Odd.
Very odd. I've tried rebooting the laptop and refreshing the browser, but still no joy, all the titles do actually appear on the tabs very briefly if I press one of the tabs...

Here you are again!
The design is better, looks nice. But didn't there used to be a 'latest posts' button at the top of forum posts?
Latest posts button is still there JD, you may need to clear your cache, refresh browser as the servers update.
For fear of looking silly !
How do I clear my cache and what is a cache anyway !!!
Yeah go on call me silly.
Generalising, the cache is a set of locally stored files which are downloaded from a website and which have an expiry time (defined by the website you visited). This is done to speed up loading of a page when many files such as pictures, stylesheets and javascript rarely - if ever - change. Those files will not be fetched again by your browser until that expiry time is reached (which may be a long time), so to make sure you have the very latest files on a web page, it can be worthwhile periodically clearing your cache or at least doing a hard refresh (Ctrl-R or Ctrl-F5).
How to completely clear your cache depends on your browser - what are you using?

Oh ok cheers John - as always very helpful.
I am very basic I am afraid - so just plan old Windows Internet Explorer. Do you recommend using something else then ? It is what I am used to but do not mind changing if something is slicker and works better.
Probably a bit like a cable debate I suppose.
