Dunno....it's all greek to me!
I use a codec instamatic!
Yes, appears blank to me as well on my iPad.
And on my latop using Chrome.
Doesn't work in Chrome, Firefox and IE (yuk) on my W7 machine, stock browser or FF Beta on my Nexus 7, Chrome, Opera or Dolphin on my HOX.
Does work in the stock browser on my old Desire.
so what did the lhc have to say....?
that's always good for a laff
DD EX is better than DD
that's what wikipedia says, realised that if avr set to optical and my pressence speakers are on(dsp),DD EX is the codec, but if i use straight then it's DD.
i'll just set the avr to HDMI....i hate making decisions
It isn't better IMO. Its psuedo 6.1...
Psuedo anything is never better than the real thing

It's not pseudo anything, that implies the information isn't there and is being guessed by the processor, the rear channel information IS there in DD ex, it just isn't in a discrete channel, it's matrixed into the surround channels but that doesn't mean it's being made up.
DD ex IS better than DD, it's nonsense to say otherwise.
The other thread looks perfectly ok to me incidentally.
Yep...
