You've doubtless all noticed an increase in the number of spammers on the site. We're watching it (though not in the middle of the night, sorry) and are banning and deleting when we see it.

However, the worst thing you can do though is feed google's indexing by having the content change by replying to it - so can you not please? It'll be gone soon enough...

cheers

JD

S'alright, you weren't to know. And to the_lhc, we didn't change anything. I guess we're just a victim of our own success, and have been targeted by what appears to be an army of people adding hundreds of user registrations - only a handful of which post, which at least then allows us to ban the IP address. All gone now though Big Smile

Fair enough, I could have sworn Andrew or Clare or someone had said recently that something had been changed that made it easier to these muppets to get on, never mind...

Nope, no changes - just a site that's reaching the sort of traffic levels to make it more tempting to these pests. We've traced where they're from, anyhow. Now we've just got to foil their tiresome waysSuper Angry

Cool, we could do with ordering them for the staff here - all matching baby blue jumps suits - wonder if they'll add an F before the H on the belt? Hmmmm......
