Site Changes
Hi
I keep reading about changes, now i am starting to get a bit worried, what sort of changes are we talking about?
If you can't really go into much detail, could you mention ones that you think will definetely happen at some stage?
Also are these changes likely to affect the forum members much?
Thanks
No, beyond hopefully improving the user experience, it shouldn't affect you at all, gel...
I'm told the surgery for the neural implant required to view the new site is usually painless, and has an almost 100% survival rate.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
I once heard on here, about things like charging the members to use the forums.

In common with all publishers/media companies, we are constantly evaluating a number of business models for this and all our sites, in order to fund them and their operation/expansion.
After all, JD doesn't work for free, although he'll no doubt tell you that it's almost tantamount to voluntary work...
But no decisions whatsoever have been made so far.

Not much to worry about then ![]()
I have also heard hear say like the subscribers might get to go special places and do special things?
(Had to changed that to might)
Heaven, front row seat ![]()

Yes, but they're forbidden from telling anyone about these special privileges. It's a bit like the masons...

Only that they might not find enough neural matter to implant into...

Er, you and whose army tough guy?
"to do special things".
The mind boggles.
I have to say i am all for the what hi fi readers getting the "special treatment" because after all that's the people who really love the website, just as long as the subscription charge does not go up, or the price of the mag. ![]()
Big Aura:"to do special things".
The mind boggles.
I do 'special things' when I go on the 'special bus' and my mind frequently boggles, I'm told. ![]()
But more seriously, I believe that maybe those of us who have a magazine subscription could be given a higher level of website access or privilege. I certainly don't propose that the forum pages are restricted since they are such a key part of the community.
No plans to restrict any current areas of the site, so don't fret ![]()
