I uploaded a new avatar today, but my old one is still appearing next to new posts (well it is for me anyway).  The new one appears when I go to my account. What have I cocked up?

RE: site avatars

Nothing.  various levels of cacheing (which are actually applied inconsistently across some pages, stupidly) mean that it can take a while (sometimes even up to a few days) for images to be refreshed in our CDN correctly.  Give it time.

Probably a matter of the new one not having yet replicated to all our servers, or some local caching. It'll get there – give it time...

Jinx. Again.

RE: site avatars

Funny thing is, I deleted the old avatar the other day to give the servers chance to clear, and it disappeared instantly, from both my 'My Account' profile and my posts. So today I uploaded a new one, yet my new posts appear with my old avatar.  Go figure.

The curious thing is when I change my avatar it doesn’t change when I view the site on my PC, but when I access the site through Opera Mini on my mobile it has.
