Would it be prudent to have a section where recipients could rate the reliability of their pride and joy so that other members could tell if what they intend to purchase was a safe bet.  There is some good topics on this forum relating to problems and how to rectify them.  Obviously a cut off point of 6 months for a report as equipment is re-invented by manufactures trying to tempt us with the latest technology.  Like in What Car, would What Hifi have the funds to purchase popular models and comment on its reliability over a given period?  People could then contribute on the review section and maybe in the Buyers Guide have a seperate column, or if too intrusive for the magazine have it displayed on the Forum.

Just a New Year thought....

It's sort of what the 'Your Opinion' section on the reviews is for...
