Like the new video player on the website.  I have a 27 inch monitor and the full screen picture is excellent compared to the old one.

Yes. It's to do with the fancy playlist management around the player, which won't render in HTML5. WWEMTTNS* the layout will be more like it was before, with a single player and individual links to each video, and the single player works in iPad. I'd embed one here to show you but the software strips out embed tags - I can put a link in though to show you what I mean:
