New site: known issues
If that's the case, it's a 'strange blob indeed' here at WHFSV forums.
I am using IE8 and again had to disable rich-text to reply to you.Nuisance because I lose the toolbar with Bold.underline etc.never had this problem previously. Thanks mate. Thanks - will investigate (since it's - just - our most-used browser)
This is happening to me as well on IE8.
Jeez im not having much luck here. As per idc's post i uploaded a foatie to my flikr acc. Resized it to 75x75 file size 6.83 kb. Still a no no. Prolly me doing something wrong again. Smoke time, over and out.
A few days later.....
Ok JD now im really confused. The flippin tube avatar is now showing ( well i can see it anyways). Have i missed something during my absence ?. I cant be bothered to backtrack the thread.
Oh yeah, and i havnt changed anything, foatie file wise, since Saturdays hair pulling session.
Can you say buggy? Not quite ready for prime time. 1000 bugs to go I'd say. No biggee. I'm sure you'll get it sorted before Christmas.
Flag as offensive is a bit of a poor name for the Report function.
what should we do about duplicate posts (which there seem to be a lot of happening on the new site) what about SPAM? I dont find either "offensive" but would like to report them........

Thank you for your encouraging words.

I think you're splitting semantic hairs now.

Now this is offensive...
I'm having fun with the online/offline spot...
The hover function works (listing on or off line) - which is good, but the colour appears resolutely grey. Except on my iPad, where it does turn green for online users. Hmmm.
I checked Opera, IE & SeaMonkey (Mozilla) and they keep the spot grey.
Oh, hang on. They are different spots: user_offline.png & user_online.png. One is pale grey, the other dark grey. Odd that on the iPad it's green...
It's green for me on Chrome...

That's interesting. If you right-click on the green spot, and then look at its properties, what does it say its source is?
When I do it on the "dark-grey" spot it shows as: http://cdn.whathifi.com/sites/whathifi.com/modules/whathifi_advanced_for...
WFYB...

My boat is not floated, I promise you
However, I only thought I'd highlight this minor issue with the spot...

Glad the online/offline 'blob' became smaller. Can't make it red/green, no?
It's green or not green. The lights are on (etc)...
