John, I have to use the "login one time only" change of password every time to get on the site! Is this is a known problem please? Can you please fix this on my account if so?

Are you using your username instead of your email address as was the case previously?

Jeez im not having much luck here. As per idc's post i uploaded a foatie to my flikr acc. Resized it to 75x75 file size 6.83 kb. Still a no no. Prolly me doing something wrong again. Smoke time, over and out.

Delete old pic (tick delete box) and click on 'save' button.

Then load new pic (by clicking browse and loading from your computer's picture library rather than flickr) and click save again.

I did the same thing earlier (crop and resize on flickr before saving it back to my PCs picture library) it worked.

Thats exactly what i did Chebby. Hence i decided to keep the fag paper makers on overtime instead of pulling my hair out. Ok im not the brightest bulb in the chandelier when it comes down to desktops but i must be doing something oceangoingly wrong somewhere along the lines.

RE: About the new site

Anyone else notice that sometimes the font-size changes while typing, so a post can end up being a mix of normal and very wee sizes?

BTW, great job overall, JD. Ta Smile

How do you change size of picture? I have mine on windows word 2003. I've tried right clicking the mouse and resizing the original shots, but nothing comes up.

Havnt got that far yet PP. Once i sussed that the lash up was my end i just lobbed the shpong avatar back up for the time being.

I've tried a few times today with no luck. Losing the will to livesticking out tongue but have another crack tomorrow.

RE: About the new site

Couple of things from me:-

1. Search - if I want to recall an earlier post I made, I usually search on my own name and, in the old site, I could change the selection from Relevance to Date and it would list my posts, from today and that doesn't seem to happen now.  Also, the date is no longer displayed when the list is returned as it was on the previous incarnation.  Given as there's no means for me to check my own posts from within my own profile (e.g. "find all posts by record_spot") that makes things tricky.

2. Post count - I seem to have dropped back to around 30-odd, but then it changes to show my more usual 5300-odd.  Odd!

3. Speed - site seems slow at times.

4. Appearance (Google Chrome) - appears a little cluttered on the forum home page.  Might be the browser, as not tried with any others.

Mr D:

It'd be nice if the 'Online' button turns 'Green' when logged in. And, 'Red' when logged out. And, the button can be made a little smaller too. Can it be done, please?

It's a detail tweak: it was under discussion on Friday afternoon for later examination.

Send me the picture and I'll tell you what's wrong with it.  My email address (@haymarket.com) should be obvious...

Ah yes, that'll be the one, but I thought we were discussing removing the online/offline blob, not the word itself.

RE: About the new site

Sorry JD, resized pic's in Photobucket but no joy. i'm not sure though if they are below 30kb, i cant find any app or info in Photobucket regarding kb size. If anyone know how to check please let me know.

Is it possible a single post can deal with 30kb's or less?

The reason i say this is because some single pic's are up but 'group pics' of 2 or more aren't showing?

Thats an old one idc.

It's of a broken up record in puzzle sized pieces, it's my shot at irony regarding the state of digital music.

Are there any plans to install a Private Messaging system?
