Have To Keep Signing In

Had the same problem Al for the last week or so,but i'm having to sign in more than once a day.Strangely though even when it says i'm logged out at the top of the page i can still post on the forums.

Mmm, will need to ask the people upstairs with pens in their pockets.

Nothing obvious in your settings. Delete the whf cookie, try again...

For the sake of info gathering, I use a single instance of Firefox and haven't needed to log in more than once. I've been using the same one for about three days now.

Cheers JD, it's happened at least half a dozen times tonight FWIW. I'm running IE8 on Vista if that helps.it's only been happening for about the last week or so and have tried clearing cookies etc and makes no difference.

EDIT- Also i'm finding i'm only being logged out while still on this site, i.e if i'm on the forums then read the blogs or news section for example, then return to the forums thats when i'm finding i need to log back in.But if i navigate away from this site altogether (to my google home page for example) then come back it's fine and am still logged in,if that makes sense.

Well, Firefox v 3.0.11 is working nicely now on the old Mac. Used to crash every few hours and you'd have to force quit it and restart but have been working with it for 3 days now and no issues - hurrah!

 

Safari doing ok. Haven't had to log in for a few weeks.ÿ

I blame Microsoft.

  Hi Dave, as you know I have the same set up as you on IE8 iGoogle etc, so I have just tried the same sequence as you describe above. I find everything is okay,Just Posting now,after a second sequence. Maybe you need the second line of text on your iGoogle Home page like me

Well IE8's new on our list so maybe we haven't quite seen all its 'features' yet. This is an unusual one though. I know we've made changes recently to our 'user identification' thingie, but didn't think it had gone live yet. Will investigate, though would be surprised if that's the problem bearing in mind that it seems isolated...

Being logged out frequently this morning - is this a subtle hint?

Safari 4.1/mac OSX 

Has there been any progress with this issue? It Hasn't been quite as bad over the last couple of days,but i'm still being logged out at least 2-3 times every visit.
