Group buy possibility?
I know trading isn’t allowed on this site but on of the forums I use (a Honda Civic one) allows trading and group buys. A dealer will come along and offer a good price for a product if they can see enough.
Is this something that has been thought of?
I would imagine for smallish things like cables it would work well.
Effort, hassle and time? I don’t think its any of that. So if a company came on here and said “if we can sell 10 xyz you can have a 20% discount” you wouldn’t be interested? All that would happen is that people interested can add their name to the thread then contact the shop individually.
As I said it works well on the forum I use for some really expensive items too. I know trading is being looked at (been mentioned on here many times) so think it would be a good thing to add if it happens.

I guess if you can get 5% off a car it's worth it. 5% off a cable? can't say it would be worth the effort, hassle and time...
