Cyrus Disk Problems Again

Having been assured by my supplier that it was 'safe' to buy a Cyrus CD Player I yesterday bought a CD8SE. All my discs load but after going in 'Reading' mode the player returns a 'Disk Error' message.  Is this the same sizing problem that has been reported before or another one.  Can anyone throw any light?
