Hi guys,

Just looking at the BD30 specs here which say the Panny can decode Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD and DTS HD decoding onboard. However, on Panasonic's website here, it suggests these signals can only be bitstreamed. Can I just ask which is correct?

Thanks!

Re: BD30 specs?

Interestingly, both we and Panasonic are wrong. I'd like to think that they're wronger than we are, mind...

The BD30 will decode Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD on board, output via the 6-channel analogue sockets. We got that bit right and Panasonic's site has it wrong.

It doesn't decode DTS-HD, though - Panasonic is right to say that and we are, well, wrong.

Those responsible for the website inaccuracies are currently assuming the position out in the car park.

Review specs updated to reflect this.

Re: BD30 specs?

Can I also point out that in the tech specs and in the magazine's Buyers' Guide, it states that the BD30 has a scart output. It doesn't. Cheers!
