So what would you class as the best Hifi/AV product last year. My biased opinion is the Panasonic BD-30 Player that started the trend for affordable Blu Ray players with 1.1 content, 24fps and a couple of Disney Blu Ray discs to kick start your collection.  A former What Hifi winner that began at £350 where after quick succesion BD35 and 55 created fierce competition with the other manufacturers quick at their heels.  I know the PS3 introduced the format first but not everybody is into HD gaming.

My utmost admiration or miracle is the Soundbar but this was invented a few years ago but brings credible surround to people who's modern house will not allow them room for 5 speakers and Receiver etc.

What product impressed you last year?

Nothing really. Quite a bland year. Still waiting on any number of things.

So far, the biggest improvement for me has been re-ripping all my music to lossless. Many people said it, but until you actually do it, you really don't realise how right they were!
