What's the most popular price point?

Some three years ago (I think) when WHFI had a group test on stereo amps (I believe), they mentioned the £1,000 was the most popular price bracket for amps, CDP and speakers. Is that still the case or has it changed dramatically with the economy?

This is just a curiosity question.
