I'm a relative newbie to to the world of AV, and although a subscriber, most of the terminology in the magazine (and indeed these forums) goes over my head.  Can we have a section in the magazine or a forum or both for beginners where terminology, equipment etc is explained?

Thanks

Mike

We always like to put stuff like this in the mag, but unfortunately space constraints tend to hobble us.

However, if you check out p58 of the December 2012 issue you might be pleasantly surprised... Smile

And I keep meaning to do stuff like this for the website, but unfortunately time constraints...

Have a look at this during the interim. http://www.stereophile.com/content/sounds-audio-glossary-glossary

I think Andrew posted this (or similar) glossary a couple of years ago.

Andrew, is there any chance of a glossary pinned or pasted on the forum?
