In the december issue of ´What HIFI?´, at the reviews of surround amps & receivers at the Yamaha RX-V667 receiver, is mentioned that this receiver doesn´t have video upscaling to 1080P.

This is not correct. On the Yamaha website they mention that the receiver has the feature ´Analogue and HDMI upscaling to full HD 1080P´. This is even mentioned in the ad of the Yamaha receiver in the december issue of ´Whats HIFI?´.

By the way, I am a great admirer of your magazine!

RE: About the mag

it certainly does! i have my sky tv, my nintendo wii (via component cables), my dvd player going into the amp and it is upscaling them to 1080p. i dunno if it makes a difference to, say, the wii but it's nice having going into the amp and just the power lead and hdmi lead going into the tv.
