Subscriptions - one of the Eds?

It is one of our colleague's birthdays on Friday and one thought was to get him a subscription to Classic and Sportscar magazine for 12 months. Is there any way that I can check if he's already a subscriber please (as he has a classic sportscar)?
His name is James Blyth and lives in London W13.
If we subscribed today, when would the first issue he would get be please?

Well no, we couldn't get The Ed to sign a subscription copy (since they come from Somewhere Else), it would just be whatever issue is lying around the office...
It usually takes about five to six weeks before the first issue is sent out, AFAIK, but as far as checking whether he's already a subscriber I think all kinds of data protection legistlation stops us releasing such info to a third party.
