Speaker reviews
I wonder if it would be possible (well no, its possible, im more asking can you consider) for speakers that are biwired, if you can let us know in the review if its worth biwiring the speaker or not? Make it really simple -
Biwireable - yes
SHOULD I biwire - no (or whatever)
Thank you very muchly Andrew
Would it not depend on the amp?
Not for bi-wiring no, any amp can do that. Obviously the speakers need to support it though.
Not only support bi-wiring but sound better doing so.
I wonder if a lot of manufacturers make speakers bi-wirable because customers want the option rather than because they sound better that way.
Of course a 'bi-wirable' speaker will also support bi-amping, which is another reason why manufacturers include a split crossover (even if they don't recommend bi-wiring).
I would have to state that i have never found any speaker benifit from bi-wireing and it generally just messes up the soundstage
attempts at bi-amping have always yealded big improvements however

It's something we certainly should cover: I'll make sure it's passed on to the review team,
