Greetings from Brisbane, Australia !!

This is my first post in any of the WHF forums, so please excuse the etiquette, or lack thereof Big Smile

I'd be extremely grateful for assistance with a couple of matters:

Firstly, would anybody on this forum have a copy of the May '93 edition of the magazine? I'm looking, in particular, for the review of the Audio Meca Mephisto CD Transport.

A scanned copy of the review/test would be greatly appreciated.

My second request, is if anybody here is an Audiolab connoisseur:

I recently purchased a second-hand 8000A to augment my slowly growing 8000 series of hifi gear, and would love to know a bit more about the amp itself (ie: is it a 50/60/70W version etc)

A few weeks ago I wrote to IAG UK, but so far the silence has been deafening.........Sad

Any assistance with either issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Russ, sorry, can't help you with the May '93 issue of WHF. However, I'm a proud owner of a 1992 Audiolab 8000A, as far as I'm aware all models were 60 watts per channel into 8 ohm speakers (I think 90 wpc into 4 ohms?). It's a great amp, and has served me very well for the last 18 years, although time and tide wait for no man and it's going to be replaced this year, although I think I said that last year, and maybe the year before that
