I noticed one of my forum questions has been printed in the November issue.  Thanks to the editorial team for the suggestion made in reply.  One point though; in the printed reply there was a comment that I hadn't said what the rest of my system comprised of.  This information is all in my forum signature.  Surely we're not expected to include it in every posted question just in case of being lifted for print in the mag?

I think it's quite valid to lift from forums to mag for two reasons. 1) not all readers read the forums, 2) the answers on the forum are from forum readers not WHIFi staff members.  I don't think the mag suggestion was mentioned in the forum answers.

You make an eminently fair point, Ifor. There should be no need for you to repeat your system.

 

Apologies for the mix up: it's too easy for such things to get overlooked in the journey from web to print...
