Seems that your sister publication, Classic FM magazine, has come to the end of the road. I actually took out the £1 3-month subscription on this and was disconcerted to read that I'll only end up with 2!

What happened? Are others likely to follow suit?

RE: Classic FM mag

The magazine was produced by us on a contract basis for the radio station, and it was the radio station that decided it no longer wanted to continue with the magazine, but rather spend its money on other activities.

The statement from Classic FM owners Global Radio said that: '‘Classic FM Magazine, published by Haymarket under license from Global Radio, will cease publication at the end of its current contract term. The final issue will be the April 2012 cover date. Global Radio will be launching a range of new Classic FM initiatives throughout 2012.’

I believe CFM magazine subscribers are being offered Gramophone instead for the remainder of their subscription, but our subs people will be able to confim that – you can mail them at whathifi@servicehelpline.co.uk or call 08456 777 813.
