Black levels are really good on the LG, and is the best TV I think I have seen in movie mode.  I did demo standard definition too but this was not too good to be honest but it could've been the source.

Some of the Richer Sounds stores still have the ZT60 in stock. Ring your local store.

I've seen the LG OLED. Its good, but certainly not worth the premium they're demanding, especially considering its not future proof.

Quite simply it's the best tv ever made .you will not find a better 1080p picture anywhere on the planet ......then you calibrate it! Never had any love for LED tvs unless you live on the sun and I'd love to see a 4k tv take it on at 60inch aswell

Why are people mixing things up, and comparing 4K with plasma? :?

You would compare 4K with 1080p, or plasma with LED-lit LCD.

I understand that they are different what I ment was I would like to see a calibrated ZT60 at 60 inch 1080p next to a 60inch 4k LED as you know 4k is a farce at 50-65 inch screen size.

Well, 98% correctly identified the 55-inch 4K TV

I think the Panasonic will win on black levels and most people identify that as one of the most important areas, if not the.

I am sure there will be a differences between 4k and 1080p even on a smaller screen - hence why it was easy for joe bloggs to identify in that HDTV Test which is inteteresting for them to have done.  Its more than twice the resolution - will be sharper and clearer for sure

I am really not bothered by it at all though.

The end of Plasma made me purchase before the end. Plus it would mean a whole new wardrobe for me in term sof kit to support 4k - not interested in that either - rather get the quality up of what I have got now,

Also streaming quality remains to be proved against the old fashioned disc.  Sure it will be good with full uncompressed sound and not having discs to store is a huge bonus!!

I have streamed netflix through my Marantz and it was very good quality until you put the same film disc on so more work needs doing for sure.

What it does mean - is that will be a lot of 1080p used bargains come available so people can get champagne kit for lemonade money Smile
