Reviews without dates ? Why ?
English

How about if you guys start specifying what dates have you contacted reviews on ?

Surely it would help any prospective buyer to find out if what they read about is 10 years old or a brand new piece of kit...

I know, it's daft, isn't it?

It's not as if the data isn't there - view the html source of the page and search for 'dtreviewed'...

Google the item and it's review date is shown.

For instance ...

https://www.google.co.uk/#q=roksan+kandy+k2

... you can see it was reviewed in September 2008.

The problem with that is that What Hifi? often make subsequent updates (to revise prices, show awards won or to 'demote' it's rating), but the date of the original review doesn't change.

Surely if it's in the data but doesn't show on the web page, it's just a matter of changing a bit of code or something? Or simply typing on the end of each review 'This review first published on April 24, 2014' or whatever.

This breathtakingly simple suggestion first published on 24.04.14

New website will very clearly show the date of publication on each review. Looking at the Beta version now Wink

Would it also be possible in the new forum to limit peoples user names to 10-15 letters and spaces long as anything longer is stupidly too long.

What would happen to existing users with long forum names then? You can't have a two-tiered system; the new users will allege discrimination! Wink

If you want to impose a limit, why not limit to 7-8 letters? So what would your new forum name be? Biggrin
