NEWS: Sony expands Bravia LCD TV range

Sony is further expanding its Bravia range of LCD televisions with the introduction of the flagship X3500/X3000 series.
There are four models in the X3500 range, available in 70in, 52in, 46in and 40in screen sizes. All have Full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution and use the latest version of Sony's Bravia Engine Pro picture enhancement technology.
The X3000 series comes in two screen sizes – 46in and 40in – and again both have Full HD resolution. Customers can choose from a range of coloured bezels to suit their home decor.
All the new flagship TVs have a 24p (24 frames per second) True Cinema mode and Motionflow+ 100Hz technology.
Further down the Bravia line-up, there are new 26in and 20in screens in the S3000 Series, joining the 40in and 32in models.
And the W3000 series, with integrated high-definition tuner, Full HD and 24p True Cinema, now runs to 40in, 46in and 52in screen sizes.
If you want to add a Blu-ray system to your Bravia TV, Sony now offers the £800 HTP-BD2RSF home entertainment system (below). With this you get the BDP-S3000 Blu-ray disc player, partnered with the matching HT-SF2000 5.1 Home Theatre system and HTP-BDP-2RSF surround speakers.

You won't. The price listed was for the 40' version, a sony mistake.
KDL-40X3500 looks nice, but is it worth the extra £600 over a Samsung LE40F86BD ?
Don't know yet, we're trying to get one in for test.
I bought one of these last month, the picture is awesome when watching Blu-ray films and playing games on my ps3 but takes some tweaking to the settings to get a nice SD picture.
I am thinking of investing in the new LCD40X3000 within the next month or so. My concern is whether the quality of ths SD channel picture, even after fine tuning, (as suggested by Ashwin) is at the minimum of equal picture quality received on a Tube (direct view) TV. I know that getting a HD Box is essential, however as there are only a handfull (say 3) of TV channels that transmit in HD signals, my concern is that I end up with a picture quality of SD channel worse than a tuve TV. What was the quality from teh KDL40x2000 like?
hello i need some help of which im going to buy PLASMA OR LCD SIZES FROM 40-46.Please give me advice.im planning to go for SONY KDLX3500 40 ".Is this a good one? thank you very much.
There's a very detailed review of the KDL40X3500 on an independent website devoted to HD TVs
For info go to:www.hdtvtest.co.uk
It's well worth checking out as you will not get a better, fairer & more comprehensive review anywhere.
Whats the difference between 40X3000 and 40X3500? seem to have same specs????
I ordered one last weekend.
X3500 is the first (more expensive) release and is brushed aluminium finish, and brushed alu frame.
X3000 is the second (due 30 Nov) and is traditional tele black with painted silver frame.
Interesting, coz X3500 is older, with discounts it is actually cheaper than x3000 to buy.
I understand that these are soon to sold with HDTV tuners, which wont be a lot of use right now, but will be as soon as HD transmissions get the ofcom go ahead.
