NEWS: Pure launches its summer Siesta

New from Pure is the very affordable Siesta DAB/FM clock radio, designed to offer a choice of wake-up modes, two finishes - charcoal or silver - and a low standby power consumption to keep your carbon footprint from getting all smudgy while you sleep.

The Siesta builds on the popularity of the DAB-only Pure Chronos range, with a similar triangular design making it good for use on small bedside tables. It's just 17cm wide by 14.5cm deep.

Three independent alarms allow the user to wake to DAB, FM or a tone at different times on weekdays, weekends or on a 'one-off' basis – handy if you have an early appointment.

The Siesta uses a 7.5cm speaker on the top, has a 3.5mm headphone socket, and its display auto-dims to suit the room lighting, making it readable in the morning without keeping you awake at night. A snooze function is included, and the radio can also handle text broadcasts on both FM and DAB.

Part of Pure's EcoPlus range, the Siesta consumes just 1W in standby, and makes substantial use of recycled materials in its packaging and documentation.
