The excellent Reference 600 makes a genuine alternative to a hi-fi separates system

Yes I recently bought one for £599 from SSAV to replace my reference 300. The hiss which can be constantly heard at low volumes spoils it for me. Also some design glitches are annoying. For example, you can't change channel on the FM tuner whilst RDS shows the name of the station - you have to go through several key presses to turn RDS off, change channel and then turn RDS back on so you can tell what the channel is. The DAB tuner is pathetic in comparison to the 300 I have - under exactly the same conditions it pick up half as many stations. I'll be returning mine back to SSAV.

Is there any chance of group testing this against the Myryad Mi and Arcam Solo Mini?

I have owned my Reference 600 system for approx. 3 months now and I am very happy with it overall. There is one "characteristic" that I would like to mention. When you adjust the AMP to a high setting on the BASS MIDDLE and TREBLE you get an annoying Hiss from the AMP. You can combat this by pressing the Tone Direct button which centres all settings but you really need to do this when listening to any music quietly otherwise the hiss can clearly be heard on all sources (CD, iPOD...)
