As ever with Sony, we'll review them when we can get them.
It does seem impressive, I have to say but abit on the expensive side. And most Sony shops are not even displaying this model as they still have a stockpile of the Z4500s to shift!
Will you be reviewing any of the soon to be launched Z5800s or W5810s with Freesat on board???
If they scrub up as well as this one I will definitely, definitely be hoping to twin one up with one of Sony's new Blu Ray Home Cinema systems.
Don't you notice that viewing angles are bad ?
I've seen this set and the changes from other angles the intensity of black and color is reduced.
Other review also noticed this.
Thanks for you answer
I bought this set 3 weeks ago; the only bad thing is the viewing angle. As soon as you move from the axis, you loose the picture quality. If you reduce backlight intensity to minimum, angle problem is getting better, but still a serious problem.
This is the first time I've done this on any web site but I really need you're advice before spending much money on a new TV?
Now the back lighting issues have been resolved, AND IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT, can you pls advise which TV to buy?
1. SONY 46Z5500
2. SONY 52Z5500
3. PIONEER KRP 500A (I've been offered a new one for 2.8k)
4. Or wait for the 46 or 52 inch replacement for the SONY 40 ZX1 coming soon (now available in USA).
